The league is recognized as a league that provides a pathway for players to aspire to be the best they can in the sport of basketball.

Head Coach Reno Zancan spearheads the 2006 program. He is assisted by ex-Coburg Giants player Dave Newton.

With the introduction of the Youth League Team in 2006, the Giants Women's program has been further strengthened and provides more opportunities for junior and senior women's players in basketball

COBURG GIANTS ABA- BIG V
All enquiries relating to the senior championship program are to be directed to Big V Women’s Championship (ABA) team coach Rino Zancan on 9355-7200 (w) or 9401-3026(h) and for Big V Division 1 men’s team call the stadium 9355 7200.
 

:: Junior Championship

In 2006, the Coburg Giants Junior representative program will be fielding the following teams in the VJBL competitions:-Girls:- 1 x Un 12 , 2 x Un 14 , 2 x Un 16 , 1 x U20 Players are required for the Un 12 , 14 , 18 age groups Boys:- 2 x U12, 3 x U14, 3 x U16, 2 x U18, 1 x U20. Players are required for our U20 team.
